CANOE SAFARI ON VRLJIKA RIVER

DESCRIPTION

Panoramic view over unique Blue and Red lakes in the region of southern Croatian town of Imotski will mark the start of your unforgettable canoe safari down the river Vrljika. In three hour adventure surrounded by clear water and pure nature you will be able to breath the genuine wildness of this protected part of the environment, rich of biological diversity and endemic species. However, it will still be appropriate for a safe trip for families with kids. Traditional dishes offered at the end of the trip will give you an opportunity to enjoy the finest food at the spring of the Vrljika River inside the 250 years old mill.

Distance from start to finish: 14km
Altitude distance from start to finish: 32m
River temperature: 12-15ºC. It depends on the season.
White water grade: Grade 1, elements of grade 2 (The grading scale goes from 1 to 6)
Swimming: You can swim at a few of the stops during the trip.
Canoe safari equipment: 2-person canoe, paddles, helmets, life-vest, neoprene pants and boots.
Equipment & Staff: All equipment used is registered and certified at the EU. All customers must wear Personal Flotation Devices (PFD) and helmets at all times while on the river. All of our professional guides are registered at Croatian mountain rescue service. Staff members speak Croatian and English.
Fitness Level: A minimum level of fitness is required.
Previous experience: Not necessary.
Age: Minimum age is 8 years.
What to Bring: Swimming suit, towel, clothes to change after the tour, water.
Food and drinks: There are few restaurants with traditional food at the beginning and end of the tour.
Onsite Facilities: Toilets are available at the finish of the trip. There are no toilet facilities available during the canoe safari trip. Customers are advised to use the toilet facilities at their accommodation.
Special Conditions: The operator has the right to cancel tours, without notice at their discretion depending on the weather or river conditions. All safety instructions from Adventure Dalmatia’s staff must be adhered to.
Number of people per day: Minimum of 4 and a Maximum of 50.
Availability: Every day from 1st of April to the end of November. This trip runs if there are 4 or more people. E-mail us regarding dates and tell us the number of people in your group. We will inform you about the dates available.

KAKO PRONAĆI ZADVARJE?

Automobilom iz Splita ili Trogira: Izađite iz Splita, te vozite sjeverno prema ulazu na autocestu A1 – ulaz Dugopolje. Uđite na autocestu i vozite nekih 40km u pravcu Makarske. Izađite na Šestanovac i vozite još 20 km južno u pravcu Zadvarja. Mjesto sastanka je benzinska postaja INA.

Automobilom iz Makarske: Izađite iz Makarske i vozite put sjevera. Nakon otprilike 17 km doći ćete na raskrižje Dubci i na desnoj strani ćete vidjeti žuti znak za Imotski/Zadvarje. Skrenite desno i vozite 8 km do Zadvarja. Mjesto sastanka je benzinska postaja INA.

Udaljenost sela od Splita je 50km; udaljenost od Makarske 25km.
