DESCRIPTION
English speaking instructor will introduce you to basics of kayaking, give you necessary equipment and you are ready to set off. Our first station is island Lokrum that was once a residential property of Viennese imperial family. Paddling continues towards Betina cave that can be reached only from the sea. The cave got its name after famous mathematician and physicist Marin Getaldić. Kayaking tour continues along the coast following impressive city walls and rocks on which they were built. Sea kayaking distance: 7km
Kayaking equipment: DAG Lagoon 2 sea kayaks (double sit-on top), paddles, life-jackets, waterproof barrels, masks, snorkels. See-
Equipment & staff: All equipment used is registered and certified at EU. All customers must wear a Personal Flotation Device (PFD) at all times while on the sea. All of our guides are professional locals with good knowledge and experience. All our guides are registered under Croatian mountain rescue service and some of them with Irish Canoe Union (ICU). Staff language is Croatian and English.
Previous experience: Not necessary.
Minimum Age: 4 years if accompanied with parents.
What to bring: T-shirt, sun hat, waterproof shoes (not necessary), sunglasses, and sunscreen.
Availability: It is necessary to reserve excursion at least day before by e-mail, text message or in person so we can tell the exact hour of departure and number of seats available.
Special Conditions: Guides reserve the right to cancel the trip, without prior notice, incase of bad weather conditions. It is necessary to comply with all safety instructions by Adventure Dalmatia team. In addition, guides retain the right to change the route.
Starts from: Pile bay. You should look for Adventure Dalmatia representative since there are other kayaking companies around us. We are in Pile bay, under the Pile gate – the main entrance to the Old Town; go in direction of the beach passing through the park under the gate.
