FAQ: SAILING

1. When does the trip start and when does it finish?

Sailing tours are organized in both morning and afternoon. Morning tours start at 11AM and afternoon at 5PM. Tour lasts approx. 4-5h.

2. What about food and drink?

Meals are not provided on half-day sailing tour. A bottle of water is provided for each participant.

3. Can I bring my own food and drinks?

Yes, you can bring your own food and drinks.

4. Can I bring my backpack with me?

A small backpack or beach bag is acceptable.

5. What is the best time of year for sailing?

Spring and Summer. That is when all our tours are organized.

6. How many people can fit into one boat?

We have boats for 8 and 10 people max.

7. What should I wear and what else do I need to bring with me?

You should bring swimming suites, comfortable clothes, sunscreen, beach towels, drinks, hats.

8. Can I bring my camera?

If you are taking camera or video camera, Adventure Dalmatia holds no responsability for these. Make sure you keep it well zipped in a plastic or waterproof bag. Disposable waterproof cameras are also a fun option.

Adventure Dalmatia will not take responsibility for any lost items or valuables.

9. Are children allowed on this tour?

Yes, minimum age is 3 years. If weather conditions are not favorable, parents will be advised not to take children with them.

10. Are there any stops along the tour?

Yes, there are. We stop at Rogač on Šolta island in a cove where you will have 2h for swimming and sunbathing.

11. Does the tour include insurance?

Persuant to the Law on Providing services in Tourism, Article 56, paragraph 3, Adventure Dalmatia is responsible to provide insurance for clients.

12. Who else will be on a tour? Can I book as an individual?

Other people that booked the tour on the same day you did. You can book as and individual and we will put you into one of the groups.

13. Can I reserve a private tour?

You can book the whole boat. The price and availability of this tour depends on date. Contact us for more info.

14. Will the tour be cancelled if it rains?

In case of a rainfall, sailing tour is cancelled.

15. What happens in case of a sudden thunderstorm?

In case of a sudden thunderstorm and before beginning of the tour, Adventure Dalmatia holds right to cancel or reschedule the tour.

We hold the right to cancel the tour 1 or 2 days before the tour depending on weather conditions.

If the tour has been paid and then cancelled because of weather conditions, refund is 100% of the price.

16. How and when should I make a reservation?

You can request a reservation online or over the phone. Start at our Reservations page and fill in the form. Our staff will reply as soon as possible.

Certain days during the season sell out quickly, so we encourage contacting our office to check for availability. While reservations are required in advance to participate on the tour, last-minute reservations are welcome a day or two before the trip.
